   • applications software that changes only occasionally during maintenance
   • data master files that are updated regularly every week;
   • transaction files which are created daily;
   • database files which are changing constantly.
   It is vital that these different types of files can be quickly recovered in the event of file corruption. Outline a suitable back up strategy for each of these types of files explaining what data is backed up and when, the procedures to be followed, and the media and hardware needed. (8)
2. A publishing company administers its business by using a database system running on a network of PCs.  The main uses are to process customer orders and to log payments.  You have been asked about backup strategies and their importance.
