Notice the duplication of some inputs and outputs. Obviously, although an input or output at the higher level 1 diagram only had a single process to go to or come from: Record Sales & Issue Orders the same input or output can now go to or come from more than one sub-process as the sub-processes are all part of the same higher level whole.
